Honduras – Organic Swiss Water Decaffeinated Coffee

Located at high altitude on the Celaque mountain range, the Capucas washing station focuses on the processing of coffee harvested by members and delivered to a local washing station. Most producers grow Catuai and all are organic, fair trade and rainforest alliance certified.

Harvested between December and February, the coffee is then pulped, washed and dried in large solar driers, which protect the coffee from moisuture.

The coffee is then decaffeinated using the Swiss Water process, which retains the natural flavours of the coffee. Also, it adds no chemicals to the process, maintaining a truly organic coffee.
