Ethiopia – Nensebo Refisa, Organic Coffee
A wonderfully complex washed coffee with very interesting character and completely unique in flavour profile. The floral notes are very distinctive and this intensity is seldom found in coffees from other origins.
Ethiopia is definitely one of our favourite origins producing a wide range of flavour profiles. They’re known for their juicy, floral and high cupping score coffees.
Most farmers have just a few hundred trees, which isn’t enough to produce microlots of their own. By working as collective groups they are able to produce large lots to a high standard. Nensebo Refisa is a washing station located in West Arsi, Sidamo. They serve 389 organic certified farming members, who grow specific varietals, Kurume and Wolisho, usually only found in Ethiopia
One word would be enough to describe this coffee: amazing; Just hope will last for weeks to come.
This coffee has pleasant aroma and taste with a hint of citric and floral note. Furthermore, it doesn't have unpleasant bitter aftertaste as I drink with black, who usually cannot drink without sugar and a bit of milk. I'm not an expert but this is one of the best coffee. In addition to that, the freshly roasted beans are always delivered. On Monday roasted and despatched, and I drink the coffee on midweek. A great treat!
This was my first order from Coffee and spice, and what a coffee to start with! Delightfully fruity with a long finish, this is the tastiest coffee I’ve ever poured myself. I‘m fairly new to speciality coffee and followed the suggestion of 15g freshly ground to 250g water, V60. Perfect!
